reasons to consider the academy at watkinson
For more than three decades, our PG program has been the right fit for students who don’t want to head straight to college from high school. The reasons students choose The Academy range from:
- anxiety about traveling away from home
- stress about communal college living
- worry that the experience won’t be what they hoped for.
The Academy at Watkinson is a post-graduate year for day students who may take classes at the University of Hartford and/or the University of Saint Joseph while strengthening their high school transcript with classes at Watkinson. Students start to earn college credit while still experiencing the benefits of a small community. Academy students also reap the full benefits of Watkinson’s nationally-recognized college counseling office.
