An Impact Scholar Award from Watkinson is a prestigious merit scholarship given to new students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements, talents, character, and contributions to the school community. Impact Scholar Awards are given with the expectation that recipients will be exceptional members of our diverse and vibrant school community, and are awarded to students whose values and aspirations align with the school’s mission and vision, fostering a sense of shared purpose and commitment.

By awarding these merit scholarships, Watkinson School invests in the development of future leaders and thinkers. We recognize the potential of these students to make a positive impact on both our school and the world.

Merit scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are renewable each year through graduation. Recipients do not need to reapply, provided they have met all the academic, citizenship, and participatory requirements as follows:

1. Sustains an exceptional academic record
2. Makes constructive and outstanding contributions to life beyond the classroom
3. Continually embodies the values of the school through words and actions

Merit scholarships recipients may also apply for financial aid. Watkinson seeks to ensure that exceptional students, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to attend.

Formal notifications for scholarships and financial aid are included in an offer of enrollment at the time of acceptance.
